“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I must stand with
anybody that stands right, and stand with him while he is right, and apart with
him when he is wrong.”
Abraham Lincoln
To me this quote by Abraham Lincoln is saying that winning isn’t everything.
Being honest is because if you’re not honest there’s not trust. So when he says
he must stand with anybody that stands right means that means being with
someone that is trust worthy is better than being with someone that will just
tell you lie. Also, when he says that he shall stand apart with him when he is
wrong he says that when you’re wrong no one will believe in what you say and
will not have hope in you.
April Fool’s
Day
April fool’s day is
celebrated April 1st. The purpose of this is uncertain. Some see it
as a celebration related to the turn of the seasons, while others believe it
stems from the adoption of a new calendar. Some pros are that you get to have a
laugh for pranking someone. But sometimes the pranks you do can even hurt them
or even yourself. Yes it’s a blast joking with people. But some people go too
far and end up hurting one another. The best thing to do is just to do some
small pranks on people. Yes they will try to get you back but that’s the best
part.

“Character is higher
than intellect.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
This quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson is saying that your character is more important
than your intellect because it describes you as a person. Also it can take you
far in the world because your character shows who you are as a person and how
you treat people. Emerson is right because intellect is having a reason and character
is the understanding for who you are as a person in this world we live in.
Health Sciences
Librarian
Duties and Responsibilities: In the area of collection development, the
Research Librarian for the Health Sciences will be responsible for the
selection, assessment, and management of collections and resources that support
the School of Medicine. This position works collaboratively with other librarians
for the health sciences, in order to understand and meet faculty, researcher,
staff and students information needs and to promote the Libraries’ services and
resources.
Salary: $66,220 a year
Education: Graduate degree in library science from an ALA-accredited
institution or an equivalent combination of relevant advanced degree and
library experience.
I would not like to be a Health Science Librarian because I wouldn’t really
like what I’m doing if I did. Being a librarian is nice and all but I really don’t
like books or documents. You might say why not but it just doesn’t grab my
attention. Yeah there’s nice people but I would like to have fun at my job not
just read books and documents and place
them in the right place.

“I trust that my hard work will pay
off.”
Tyler Haws
Brigham Young University Basketball Player- Mormon Church Missionary
To me this quote by Tyler Haws is saying that all your effort you put into
something will pay off. Yes it takes time and dedication but it’s going to pay
off in the future. Tyler has believed this since he was small and still does
.This shows how it does pay off because he is now in a good university which he
loves. He has been through some doubts like in 3rd grade he got cut
from the team and decided to work harder. So he did and is now in a team he is
better in and he shows how all the things he has done has helped him to be who
he is today.
EDC
DJ’s
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) is a music
festival held in the spring, summer, and fall months in the United States,
Puerto Rico and the UK as well. In 2014 Mexico was added to the list which now
hosts EDC as well. EDC DJ’s make around $250,000 just for one concert. Annually
they make $125 million which is a lot for playing music. You might say what
kind of music do they play and they actually play house music or dubstep or even
techno. These tickets cost around $367.00 for the three days you get to have
fun. I honestly think it would be worth it.
Reflection: I would like to be an EDC DJ because honestly it’s just having
a great time hearing and playing music. Yes they make a lot of money but I think
it’s better just seeing tons of people having a great time while hearing music.
Plus you get to travel the world while having a great time doing it.

Personal
Post
One of the places I would like to do as I get
older is going to Tomorrow land. Tomorrow land is a music festival all about
house music. I honestly love house music because it gets you excited or just in
a good mood. Some artist could be Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, or even
Hardwell. To be very honest my favorite house music artist is actually Hardwell
himself. One of my favorite songs from him is Don’t Stop the Madness. This music
festival is every year and this year it is celebrated May 1st-3rd
and July the 24-26.This year it will be at Brazil and Belgium. Yes I know
I’m not old enough to go but hopefully when I do get older I get the chance to
go.
Careers in Other
Countries
Some jobs in the UK for example are: Some jobs in the UK can be Technology
Marketing Vacancies which make around $29,000 to $73,000 a year. Also, another
good job can be Healthcare Recruitment Manager which makes $51,000 to $66,000 a
year. Lastly, you could also be a Head of Engineering which make up to $73,000
to $80,000 a year.
Reflection: Yes these jobs pay well and there’s more than just these but I wouldn’t
want to move countries. I say this because its starting a new life and leaving
the people you care about the most which I think isn’t worth leaving because they’ve
been with you your whole life and have never left you.

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right.”
Brigham Young
To me this quote is saying to have your freedom you must earn it and do
what is right. Some examples are if you don’t clean your room you don’t get to
play outside, or if you don’t throw the trash out you don’t get your food. To
get freedom it isn’t easy it’s a privilege. Yes it takes long to get but it’s
easy to have it get taken away. Your freedom is everything because without it
you would be in a different country or place.
St. Patrick’s
Day
St. Patrick’s Day is
celebrated March 17. St. Patrick was a 5th-century Romano-British Christian
missionary and bishop in Ireland. St Patrick’s Day was celebrated for the St.
after his death March 17,461. It is designed like this because St. Patrick is
said to have used the shamrock, a three-leaved plant, to explain the Holy
Trinity to the pagan Irish. St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated everywhere around
the world.

The Olivet Middle School
This video and what the team did for their friend was nice of them because
they thought about him. Even though he was ill they still cared about him and
they made him be a part of their team. Yes he might be different but that day
they made him equal to all of them. That day was literally the best day of his
life I’m pretty sure. As the kid said in his interview after that moment he
stopped thinking about himself and started to care about others and how he thought
about everything. Yes it was not so good to do that behind the coaches back but
in the ned it was worth making Keith a happy kid and to make him have his first
touchdown ever. I would like to say this shows how no matter if your ill or different
from others it shows how we can be equal even for one moment.

“They’re only truly great who are
truly good.”
George Chapman
To me this quote by George Chapman is saying that to be great is being the best at what your good at. It will take time but in the long run it will be worth it. Yes it will be hard at first at whatever you’re going to do but his most important thing to do is not give up because giving up on yourself is the worst feeling ever. Like in the bible it says god will choke you but will never kill you so in other words learn from your mistakes because you will have to learn from them to succeed.
Volunteer Opportunities
Some opportunities can be:
No One Should Die Alone: Which is a volunteer hospital for people
that are terminally ill.
Treasure: Is used to maintain maintenance for Green Lifestyle
Networks financial records.
Planning non-profit Events: To volunteer for this opportunity you
can help walk to cure arthritis.
These are some Volunteer Opportunities and you can go to a local hospital
or even dentist or doctor’s office to help. You can even look more up these are
just a few options that I found but there’s tons of these opportunities out
there. These can help you go to college or even when you get older you can
start actually working there. Also, you can just do it in the kindness of your
heart.

“Many think that the short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but
it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse
in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
George Mitchell
To me this quote by George Mitchell is saying the truth. I say this because
everything you get just because you use these drugs ends up going away. All
your fame and money go to waste and every accomplishment you did was now known
as a fake after. All these people that think they need these drugs should not
even think of it because it just doesn’t affect themselves it affects the
people that they love and that there around with. I really do agree with this
quote and want to say hard work pays off and the cheating people do is worth
nothing at the end of the day.

Healthy Foods
By: Anthony Romo and Brandon Martinez
Why should we eat healthy?
Chipotle
We should eat healthy because people who die
of diabetes, or having high cholesterol, and other diseases. They usually
die young. So if you eat healthy like eating fruits and vegetables you will
be good and live longer. You could still eat unhealthy foods but you are
limited to eating too much unhealthy foods. Some examples of good foods is
“chipotle” and or salads and fruits and vegetables. Some examples of bad
foods is like McDonalds, or any other fast food restaurants.
|
Some things to do to eat healthier can be trying to cut down on what
you eat. Also, you can choose better lifestyle choices like eating more
greens or just healthier foods in general. Most of the people that eat junk
foods don’t even know what their eating and most of the foods they eat have
bad chemicals that affect our body. These chemicals are mostly found in the
junk foods that we eat every week and are never told about because of the
companies. The companies will try to do anything because of how much money
they make off of us. To finish off our thoughts healthy foods like green
foods help our body and junk foods like fast food places affect us.

cancer out of their bodies. Also, yes they make good money but honestly that is
a gift because having the feelings of saving someone’s life is better.

“Character
Matters Most.”
Dale Murphy
To me this quote by Dale Murphy says that it doesn’t matter how you do your
actions it matters what kind of character you had while you did them. Also, he
is saying that the way you treat and act to others is how you will be treated
back by them. It’s how you act that matters. For example it can be kindness
which shows good character and it can be being angry at others which shows rude
character.

this type job that requires you to be in the sun or work with lasers or lights.
Also because I would not really be so focused in my job because of what you
need to do.

Mitch Makee and
His Dad
Mitch is a 15 year old that had found out that his dad was diagnosed with
cancer. Mitch was a wrestler and only a freshman at the time. That year he
decided that he would win the championship for his dad. He won all of his
matches and finally had made it to the championship. That day he won the
championship for his I think was great because of what he did. To me what he
did was great because even though he knew his father was not going to be there
for him after that year he used his time wisely with him. This shows how money
and beauty isn’t everything in life its what you do in your life that makes it great.

“Great beauty, great
strength, and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart
exceeds all.”
Benjamin Franklin
To me this quote by Benjamin Franklin is saying beauty, riches, and strength
are not everything only the person’s heart. So in other words they can have
anything you want but if they don’t have a great heart they are not helpful or trustworthy.
He says the heart exceeds because the heart is what gives us life what helps us
succeed in life. The heart is everything in the human body. So Benjamin Franklin
is showing or telling us how some people believe strength, riches, and beauty
is everything in a person but it actually isn’t. The heart is.
Health

Duties and Responsibilities: Heath educators create programs that encourage
health and wellness, and prevent disease. They teach people how to make good
health decisions, incorporate healthy activities into their lives and avoid
harmful behaviors. Health educators are often responsible for creating and
implementing health education programs for the general public.

Education: Most health educator jobs require a bachelor’s degree at minimum
and some employers may prefer candidates who also are Certified Health
Education Specialists, the BLS reports. Undergraduate fields of study include
health promotion or health education, and often include an internship.
I would not like to be a health educator because I honestly would not like
to be in the medical field. I say this because yes they help a lot of people and
make okay money but it does not grab my attention.
