Duties and Responsibilities: Oriental medicine practitioners use forms of acupuncture and treatment through the Chinese concept of “qi,” which means energy. Oriental medicine treats a variety of ailments including headaches, back pain, by identifying patterns of imbalance within a body’s energy levels and working to readjust fluids or tissues in order to keep the body in balance and relieve pain.

Education: Bachelor’s degree and certification.

Eastern Medicine Doctors make good money but I would not like to be one. I say that because I would not like to learn about what they have to learn and how long it will take.

          Video Game Designer

Duties and Responsibilities: Many components are involved in the development of a video game. Designers, producers and graphic artists all contribute to the final product. However, programmers and software developers turn the idea into code, which provides the game with its operating instructions.

Salary: They make an average of $96,260.

Education:  To become a game designer they need a bachelor's degree in computer-related field.

Reflection: I would like to be a game designer because I play lots of games. So I would like to be the person that makes games that I used to play and make them even better. Also, I would like to be a game designer because most of my time is playing video games and I would like to make a game that I can call mine.

To me this quote means if you lead your life the right way success will come to you. Also, if you lead yourself the right way you will have no worries and you will feel like you have succeeded. 

Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) Doctor

Duties and Responsibilities:  An otolaryngologist evaluates a patient, taking a history of the patient’s overall health and specific symptoms, and examines the patient for outward signs of an injury or ailment. The special board for otolaryngology was formed in 1924. They treat patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, in private practice, medical clinics and hospitals.

Salary: $331,910 a year.

Education: To become an ENT doctor, you will begin by pursuing the traditional route to and through medical school.  Score well on the MCAT and earn a high undergraduate GPA, especially in the core science courses of biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics.

I would not like to be an ENT doctor because I would not like to be around people that are sick. Also, I wouldn’t only have to take care of myself but also my patients. So, I believe I would not  be a good ENT doctor.

In the newest update for the iPhone 5c it allows you to take panorama pictures and new filters. Other new things about the iPhone 5c are that it has an auto focus while taking a picture. Also, when you take a picture you can see the location when you take the picture.

In one of the articles I found it says Obama is making a deal with Cuba to make it an easier way to get to the island. President Barack Obama originally announced the change in U.S. policy on Cuba on Dec. 17, as part of a larger     deal that secured the release of Alan Gross, an American government subcontractor who was imprisoned on the island for five years.

To me this quote means to me that every time he was doing something that he felt wrong was wrong and he did not try to stop himself.

    Electrocardiograph Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: An electrocardiogram technician performs an ECG by attaching electrodes to a patient and then pulling switches on an ECG machine to trace electrical impulses transmitted by the heart. A doctor then inspects these readings to analyze the patient's heart condition.

Salary: $30,104 a year

Education: Some requirements are a certificate or associate's degree in cardiovascular technology.

 

I would not like to be an electrocardiograph technician because I would not like to go to work on the weekends and I think they don’t get paid enough for what they do.

To me this quote by Martin Luther King Jr. is saying that thinking and having the characteristics to learn will end up being your goal to get an education, and getting an education should be our goal.

              Registered Dietitian

Duties and Responsibilities: The job description for a Registered Dietitian varies depending upon the setting in which the Registered Dietitian works. Generally, dietitians advice and counsel others on food and nutrition. They may explain nutrition issues to clients, assess the dietary and health needs of clients.

Salary: $42,000 and $55,000 a year

Education:  They are required to have a Bachelor's degree with course work approved by the Academy's Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics. Coursework typically includes food and nutrition sciences, foodservice systems management, business, economics, computer science, sociology, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology and chemistry.

 Reflection: I would like to be a Registered Dietitian because you just don’t help yourself with it but you can help others make better life style choices and help them by getting them physically fit.
