Veterans Day

Veterans Day

Veterans Day was established on November the 11th on 1918. Veterans Day, formerly known as Armistice Day, was originally set as a U.S. legal holiday to honor the end of World War I. More than 16 million Veterans served during war and more than 5.5 million served during peace time. Veterans Day is not Memorial Day. Memorial honors the dead soldiers that protected our country and Veterans Day honors the soldiers that are alive and that used to be soldiers and soldiers that are still at war.

To me Veterans Day means to me is to honor the soldiers that were and still are soldiers for what they did to protect use and there country. They risked and still risk their lives for us.
