Trauma Nurse

                Trauma Nurse

Duties Responsibilities The trauma nurse must respond with decisiveness and clarity to unexpected events by assessing, intervening, and stabilizing patients about whom there is minimal information. These severe conditions may include head injuries, spinal injuries, gunshot or stab wounds, or injuries sustained in a vehicular accident. A trauma nurse typically possesses more skills than a basic nurse therefore, the trauma nurse salary is usually on the higher than that of a general registered nurse.

Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Education: The first step toward any nursing specialty is to become a licensed registered nurse. You can also earn a nursing diploma from a hospital program in just two to three years, although this option is becoming increasingly less common. Ideally, your best bet is to earn a bachelor’s of science in nursing, which will help make you much more competitive in the trauma nursing job market.

I would not like to be one because I would have to be up 24/7 because of emergency rooms and i would like enough sleep and because they don't make as much money i would like to make.

“When obedience becomes our goal, it is no longer an irritation, instead of a stumbling block, it is a building block.”

 James E. Faust

This means when you become an obedient person it helps you in life instead of it making it harder for you.

Cardiologist

                    Cardiologist

Duties and Responsibilities: Cardiologists are physicians who have received additional training to prevent, diagnose and treat conditions of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and the body's blood vessels. Before practicing as a cardiologist, physicians must graduate from medical school, complete a residency and become board-certified in internal medicine, and then complete a fellowship in cardiology.

Salary: About $346,266-$457,921

Education: Cardiologists receive extensive education, including four years of medical school and three years of training in general internal medicine. After this, a cardiologist spends three or more years in specialized training. That’s ten or more years of training.

I would like to be a Cardiologist cause they make good money and learn things about the heart and our body.

“Obedience is the great test of life.”

Thomas S. Monson

This quote means if you’re not obedient you will fail in life and get nowhere. But if you are obedient you will accomplish many great things in life.

Biomedical Engineer

           Biomedical Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities: A Biomedical Engineer is the combination of an engineer and a medical skill with biological sciences to advance healthcare treatment, including diagnosis, monitoring, and therapy. Much of the work in biomedical engineering consists of research and development.

Salary: $51,490 a year

Education: A bachelor's degree is a basic requirement for entering the field of biomedical engineering; many biomedical engineers have a background in an engineering specialty like electrical or mechanical engineering in addition to biomedical training. Common coursework in a 4-year engineering program that will prepare you for a career as a biomedical engineer includes biomedical instrumentation, biomechanics, and physics for medicine, therapeutic medical devices, and biochemical engineering. Many employers expect biomedical engineers to have a master's degree as well.

I would not like to be a Biomedical Engineer because they do not make as much money I would like to make even though it is for a good cause.

Engineer

              Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities: An engineer is a professional practitioner of engineering, concerned with applying scientific knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to develop solutions for technical, societal and commercial problems. Engineers design materials, structures, and systems while considering the limitations imposed by practicality, regulation, safety, and cost. The word engineer is derived from the Latin roots ingenerate ("to contrive, devise") and ingenious ("cleverness").

Salary: About $80,580 per year and $38.74 per hour

Education: Master’s programs are designed to expand and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired as an undergraduate. Master's degree programs in engineering require two years of full-time graduate study. Doctoral programs require five-to-seven years of graduate study, while PhD programs are generally designed for people primarily interested in research and education in the engineering field.

Reflection:
I would like to be an engineer because they make enough money to help or support there family.

Reggie Bush

Reggie Bush is a running back for the Detroit Lions right now and he used to attend the University Southern California and played as an All-American running back. But he has also gotten a Heisman trophy but has also lost it because of gifts and money from people. This was a rule that was broken by him so he lost his trophy and is the only person in 78 years that has lost it or gotten it taken away by the NCAA. I do think what he did is wrong but he is still very good running back.

Hosea Ballou

To me this means being smart and thinking before you do something is more important than not thinking ahead and planning out what you need to do.

AutoGenic Training

                 AutoGenic Training

Duties and Responsibilities: Autogenic training is a relaxation technique developed by the German psychiatrist Johannes Heinrich Schultz and first published in 1932. The technique involves the daily practice of sessions that last around 15 minutes, usually in the morning, at lunch time, and in the evening. During each session, the practitioner will repeat a set of visualizations that induce a state of relaxation. The technique can be used to alleviate many stress-induced psychosomatic disorders.

Salary: About an average of $105,000.

Education: Each exercise is practiced several times under the supervision of a trained therapist, until the subject is able to shift voluntarily from a high arousal state to a wakeful low arousal state. Another important, but more advanced type of autogenic training which can be practiced after the standard exercises have been learned, is meditative training. A substantial advance on autogenic training, this begins with passive concentration on a number of visual phenomena and proceeds through a series of personal interrogatory exercises which lead to deep personal insights.

I would not like to be a Autogenic Trainer because I would not have enough time for the classes and I would probably be tired.

Auricular Therapy

            Auricular Therapy

Duties and Responsibilities: Auricular therapy, or auricular therapy, or ear acupuncture, or auricular acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine based on the idea that the ear is a microsystem which reflects the entire body, represented on the auricle, the outer portion of the ear. Conditions affecting the physical, mental or emotional health of the patient are assumed to be treatable by stimulation of the surface of the ear exclusively. Similar mappings are used in many areas of the body, including the practices of reflexology and iridology. These mappings were not originally based on or supported by any medical or scientific evidence, but rather clinical observation.

Salary: $38,000-$137,000

“The key to freedom is obedience”

                             Boyd K. Packer

To me this means to be smart of what you decide to do because if you do something good it will happen in return.

                                                     Obedience

Obedience is following orders or being told to do something by someone else like a boss or supervisor.

Being obedient is to obey or being dutiful or even an order, request, and law to someone else’s authority.

The dogs must be mild mannered, know basic obedience commands, and enjoy meeting new people.

Dogs may be able to understand far more words than a typical owner teaches them during obedience training.

                      911 Memorial

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Often referred to as 9/11, the attacks resulted in extensive death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defining the presidency of George W. Bush. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters.

I do not remember about what happen that day of 9/11 but since the years has passed I learned about what had happen and the tragedy. The things I have learned are very important in the United States to everyone. 9/11 was the worst day for America.

To me 9/11 is devastating because of what happen thousands of people lost their life that day and many got injured. To me 9/11 is to honor the people who died that day.

“Relentless, Repetitive Self talk is what changes our Self-image.”

Ambulance Dispatcher

             Ambulance Dispatcher

An Emergency medical ambulance dispatcher is a professional telecommunicate, tasked with the gathering of information related to medical emergencies, the provision of assistance and instructions by voice, prior to the arrival of Emergency Medical Services, and the dispatching and support of EMS resources.

Duties and Responsibilities: In most modern EMS systems, the Emergency Medical Dispatcher will fill a number of critical functions. The first of these is the identification of basic call information, including the location and telephone number of the caller, the location of the patient, the general nature of the problem, and any special circumstances. In most EMS systems, the telephone remains almost a singular point of access for those needing assistance.

Salary: Ambulance Dispatchers make around $37,460 per year.

Education: Most dispatchers only have a high school diploma or even a GED.

I would not like to be an Ambulance Dispatcher because I am not the best with computers and being busy.
